BUSINESS PLAN FOR LEAN STARTUPS (PLANES DE NEGOCIO PARA LEAN STARTUPS)

This course is for the future entrepreneur who wants to understand the critical issues and feasibility of developing a business venture, while developing an extensive business plan. The course will also provide real startups cases as basis for an up to date course in a moment when startups are flourishing all across Europe.

OBJETIVOS DEL CURSO.

The participants in the course will be shown how to:

  • The course focuses on the Entrepreneurial Process. The entrepreneurial process is discussed and defined as part of the comprehensive business plan process.
  • Provides students a step by step approach based on the development of business plan throughout the course.
  • Present Special Insights on Presenting and Writing a Business Plan. The course provides tips and suggesting for presenting a business plan with confidence and pose and includes a 12 slide PowerPoint with suggestions on what to include on each slide for an efficient pitch.
  • Provides real cases of startups across Europe. How they have been able to make it. Their key for success.
  • Offer insights about the Startup Europe initiative of the European Commission to support startups in their growth. Insights provided by the teacher who is the officer in charge of startup Europe at the European Commission.

Head of Startup Europe, DG CNECT, European Commission. Permanent Fellow at University cambridge – CSAP. Thought Leader At United Nations – ITU agency. I founded several businesses before becoming strategy consultant to CxO of large technological companies. Eventually he lead a research and innovation team as principal administrator, before joining the European Commission.


METODOLOGÍA DEL CURSO.

Both the whole course documentation and the monitoring of the tutorials along with the final exam will be conducted in English. The level required is Advanced.

  • On-line discussion and debate: Participants will discuss and debate on-line a case that will be used throughout the program. This will clearly establish the need for a a complete marketing tool kit.
  • Individual Study: The text book and first hand experiences will be used to present marketing tools and methodologies that address the issues from the case and identified by program participants.
  • Practice: Practice with tools and methodologies, applying them to the case and presenting their application for debate and discussion will build confidence and know-how of each participant.
  • The study materials will be based on several chapters from “The Next Wave of Technologies: Opportunities from Chaos” by Phil Simon.
